WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. Overall, I enjoyed this episode, though it was not quite as good as other episodes. The episode felt very fun. The humor was not quite as hilarious as in some other episodes, but it was still pretty funny nonetheless. Still, the episode was enjoyable throughout.

It was nice to see Gabriel enjoy herself doing something she originally did not want to do, which feels nice. It felt nice to see Gab actually enjoy going out and socializing with others in a fun event outside her games. The preparations for the beach and the beach itself were quite fun and pretty humorous. It was also nice to see the characters’ personalities on full display both before the trip and during the trip.

It’s also nice to see these four characters be such close friends and enjoy each others’ companies despite their differences. Raphiel’s seemingly endless ability to come up with pranks is quite impressive and amusing. She’s also doing a very nice job of coming across as helpful at first glance before her true goal is exposed. The meeting to work on homework was also fun and humorous. It showed how well the characters now know each other that they can predict each others’ actions, and those are quite funny and enjoyable.

As for the flashback to Old Gabriel, this felt quite emotional. It was nice and enjoyable to watch. It was also cool to see more of the Old Gab. So far, we haven’t seen much of her in the show. Still, it also felt very sad. For one, it felt sad seeing Gab tumble downward. It also felt sad as it made me feel sorry for Vignette; she had to see her best friend go from being the nicest person around to having such a major fall from grace.

Even though this is mainly a comedy show, it’s actually nice to have some serious and emotional moments every now and then. It helps add to the story of the show to have such moments. It also adds to the depth of the characters and helps the viewer feel more emotionally invested in the show and in its characters.

I also noticed during this section it played the music from the beginning of the show when we saw Old Gab. This was actually quite nicely done as well. It seems to be promoting this as Old Gab’s theme music, which helps strengthen the emotional connections. It also helps that this music is quite calming and peaceful, but also has a sad feeling to it. This fits the emotions of these scenes quite nicely.
